Broke my R1 cherry!

So friend my has a 99' R1 that is bone stock, which was bought new buy his father. I stopped @ his house Saturday and picked up the R1.

Now I know why I have been feeling like something has been missing w/my 04' R6, it's the extra 40hp! Felt like god's hand was pushing on my chest while accelerating!
I need to ride a current open-class sportbike now!

Surprisingly other than acceleration the bike felt old, hopping on the R6 after I dropped the R1 off was like going from a Taurus to a Lexus.
I detailed the bike while I has it @ my house, here is a few pics.

Wait till the weekend warriors of Loudon get in this thread and tell you 1000 CC's is useless and dangerous, riding in a straight line is stupid and boring, and you'll never use all that power. Then they'll try to convince you an EX 500 with the right rider can beat the 1000, and they're just as much fun to ride as a 1000 CC..

Then we'll see if you still want a 1000..

I've already owned a handful of 900cc's and larger, just been a while since I road one.

I just forgot how nice it is to not shift constantly.

Only rode it for total of a hour, not long enough to judge comfort.
