Why would they need nitrous oxide to go 142 MPH on a bike with 146 HP in stock form? That bike should easily eclipse 160 MPH without laughing gas.

Ice studs suck up a ton of HP... LOTS of added drag from them biting in, rotating, and eventually pulling out of the ice.

I don't know about a land speed record... my plan is to put studded tires on my V-strom next winter, with just rubber, I have been over 50 on packed powder snow
