A couple months ago, I traded my SV650S for Christian's 97 TL1000S. This is how I received the bike:
Ever since owning my Z1000, I just can't get over the comfort of the standard seating position over the sport position, so I'm in the process of doing a standard conversion while retaining the naked look.
I also need a few odds and ends to make it street legal.
Lastly, I'll be touching it up with a few visual mods, like powdercoated wheels and tidbits.
This is after adding a Renthal Streetfigher bar, Outlaw 2" risers, and Pazzo levers.
Adding the bars made the stock location of the cluster way too far away, so I put together a bracket to raise the cluster and pull it closer to the forks. Unfortunately this had the effect of making the headlights look way too low, so I also built a bracket out of aluminum to raise the lights slightly.
Still need a pic of this, though.
Now I'm in the process of working on a flyscreen. I acquired a windscreen from my father-in-laws snowmobile that I cut up, and now am in the process of fabbing up more brackets to mount it too. This is what it will look like soon (before paint). You can also see the awesome turn signal brackets I made out of Home Depot L-Brackets.
More progress soon.
