Wow.

Looks awesome. I need a garage like that at my house. Feel free to come over anytime and build it.
Ill see you at the track on Monday. Lets hope for some dry weather so we can see what the bikes can do:)
looks good except that R6 poster on the wall :poke:
did you do the floors already? not sure if i missed that step, or if it's not listed on the 'to do' list
Looks good Chris:beerbang:
Where'd you get the big R6 poster? I've got the same one, and one of the 50th R1, and another of the Raptor 700:naughty
Looks great! Nice work!
wow its really great to see a little person in a big world still getting stuff done
are normal sized people allowed in there or just a club for gnomes, elfs and midgets?
j/k baaaby
love it,
D
Thanks man :beerbang:
Hey I'll help you out for beer and food. Or you can come use it whenever you want... but you have pk's place for that.
Yeah, see you monday! Can't wait to get the cobwebs out and actually start doing some decent laps :naughty
Thanks dude :beerbang:
I picked it up pretty cheap from a guy on one of the R6 forums. I'm not sure where he got it. It's really nice though. What's the 50th R1 banner look like? Must be sick.
Thanks man :shredder:
:deathslap:
:deathslap:
You'd fit in there too, wise guy :mope:
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention all NESRians are welcome here any time to chill and wrench. Except Jim and Denno.
Once I've gotten more done on it after my trip I'll arrange a big ride and afterwards we can all go back for food and chilling. It will be like a grand opening party or some shit.
dickhead, i asked an honest question and i get the deathslap?
and why would i be banned from your garage? other than i'm not a legal midget and cant fit in your garage, and would be afraid too close to the R6 and have it burst into flames from the stupid tank design.
ok fair enough. i did ask if the floor was done & i just missed that group of 6574827674512 pictures of it worked on. my bad.
I'm sorry Jim I hate fighting with you
That's a great transformation, If I was on this board in the past, I would have helped. I just helped a buddy redo his whole kitchen over. I love when people watch the fix-it shows and think everything can be done in 2-3 days. I just laugh.
Keep up the good work. and I hope you don't have to move anytime soon.
Wow. That must be some sense of accomplishment there. You did a FANTASTIC job with this project. It's actually a little inspiring. :)
I'll have to get a picture of it, but yeah it's pretty cool looking:naughty
I got both the R1 and R6 posters when I was in Daytona for the races in 2006, they were giving them away with any purchase of Yamaha merchandise at the Yamaha tent...so I bought a Yamaha hat, cashed out and got my R1 poster, then turned around and bought a Yamaha R6 T-shirt and got the R6 poster:shredder: Riding back to the condo was interesting though!
Nice job Chris, shit looks shweeeeeeeet
You would've helped?!?! Shit, I wish you joined the board sooner!!
Thanks very much for the kid words, dude! :shredder:
That's a sweet deal! I have a sweet tshirt... been looking for a good hat for a little while... black preferably.
Thanks mark :drink:
You're just jello I'm getting his attention :teehee:
Bump: Jim go to hell. You love my photos.
Did a couple little things the other day. Had a lot of other shit going on though. Work has been pretty rough lately.
The rest of the baseboard was installed, and I caulked the bottom with the aluminum-colored caulking there as well:

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...02826Large.jpg
Then I used a clear caulking on the TOP of the baseboard all the way around, so that liquids splashed on the walls wouldn't seep in behind them. In this pic it still looks like white caulking since it hadn't dried:
http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...02828Large.jpg
And this closeup shows it dried:

Unpacked all my trackside stuff and some other things and started organizing the storage room:

The blue painter's tape allows paint to bleed under a bit so there were lots of marks like this:
http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...02813Large.jpg
So I just grabbed some black pinstriping and outlined it all:

Ended up cutting all the drawer liners for all my tool chests:

Now I'll be concentrating on building the bike back up in time for the next track days and installing all the goodies I'm getting. If there is spare time, I'll start the workbench... but for now all garage stuff will be on the back burner.
It's cool that I'm about to give this place some hardcore usage. Anyone wants to help when I get stuck and break shit, I'll food and beverage you :drink:
Just a couple little updates...
I'm not sure if it was really due to weight or just because it was so humid recently, but this set of shelves had a couple shelves that were looking a bit saggy, so I decided to throw an extra support on there:

Mounted a whiteboard above my toolchests... should be very helpful for making lists of supplies that have run out and whatnot:

Lastly... I know some of you guys are as anal/OCD as I am... and if so, your detailing products need to come from Zaino. This is hands down the best shit I've ever worked with, and their long detailed instructions on how to care for your finish using their products is very thorough. If you follow their steps, you'll have a mile-deep shine on any vehicle you own:

It's not cheap, but you need to use so little of the product that it's actually a pretty good buy. The full kit with wax, polish, detail spray, car wash, polish activator with mixing bottles, and a couple of their VERY soft applicator pads is about 80 bucks. Check out Zaino Store
I think this saturday I might have a bit of spare time and if so I'll head to Ikea to get the workbench top and drawers ;)
shelves look much better now
drywall anchors if you really want them centered pretty
BTW this thread is deadly on my 56k connection
