California Highway 74 - Sunday...

Well I couldn’t stand it any longer, I needed a motorcycle out here in SoCal Soooo…
I took a quick flight to Phoenix Saturday afternoon, spent the night in Scottsdale, picked up a Stelvio and rode it back to San Diego this morning.

What a blast this motorcycle is, I had to boom it out of town on I-10 but grabbed a few three digit numbered roads that make squiggly lines on a map on the way back.

Good break-in for the new-to-me Stelvio, we bonded by putting on 442 miles together.

I would have stopped to shoot more but the big guy and I were havin' such a time that I found it difficult to stop.

The power is reminiscent of a 427 Chevy Big Block, raw and absolutely visceral, propels you ahead with brut force... I dig it. ;-T

I spent some time in the region...definitely head up towards big bear, and back around through Joshua tree the long way.
Enjoy the new scoot. Looks like a ton of fun.

Yeah, I am here until at least late December and back for a bit in January, then week long gigs until next July which will be another long stint so I may just leave the Stelvio here until then...

Going to go ride up through Sloan Canyon ta-day to see what that is like...

When I have more than a few hours off I'll give you a scream and we can go up to Ortega or something.

careful on ortega...I am learning/observing that there is just a lot of traffic/commuters going through there which is why there are a lot of deaths there

about an hour north = glendora mountain road = tighter, but less through traffic...although more cyclists who claim the full width of the road
