Cheers for a great letter to the higher-ups, Peter... I agree with you.

Just because some people can't parent their kids properly doesn't mean an activity should be banned. Just the parents should probably get some DSS interference.

A lot of the problem is from those cheap ATV/Motorcycle knock-offs that are sold at Pep Boys.

You guys have done a great job of speaking very eloquently on this subject and i really have nothing positive to add past what has been said already, so i'll say this...

What happened to natural selection? I mean seriously thinning the heard is very important for the evolution of the species. I'm sick and tired of these laws preventing dumb people from killing themselves and limiting me from enjoying my superior ability to not end up dead while enjoying myself.

We are weakening the human race (especially here in America) by wasteing time, money and resources on ignorant and lazy people.

NESR translation: Let those dumb fuckers fuckin die already, for fuck sake!!

Like I said before, we have too many laws that protect ourselves from ourselves.

The man does have a point. There certainly is an upside to the idiots killing themselves....

But then who is going to flip burgers and pump our gas? Maybe we need them for some things...

Angry Re: Call to action! Bike ban being attempted in MA

The ban is BACK!! The bill outlaws anyone under the age of 14 from operating any off-road vehicle, and limits those 14-16 to 90cc!

Take action in the Issues section at the AMA Rapid Response website -
    http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/...idresponse.asp

If you are a MA resident, please POLITELY contact all your representatives and the governor letting them know why you think this is a bad bill.

Here's a link to the house version of the bill.

Forward this to as many motorcyclists and groups as possible. We need a lot of messages sent to the statehouse immediately.

    Thanks.

Re: Call to action! Bike ban being attempted in MA

I first rode a Honda somethingorother 200 ATV when I was 11 and got my first XR100 at age 12. I don't live in MA anymore, but most of my riding was either in my back yard or the really nice neighbor's yard, and without it I'm not sure I would have ended up where I am. If I had a voice in this fight I'd fire off an e-mail, but the best I can do is implore you all to send one off to your representative.

If I read the AMA message right, it already has. It's just needs the governor's signature.

I watched that video. And even though I completely agree, that video will probably get football, hockey, and gymnastics banned.

    I can see it now:

"That makes perfect sense, there is a risk to football, hockey, and gymnastics just like trail riding, better ban those too!"

Yet another bill written and passed by people who have zero understanding and/ or passion for riding.

...and the pussification of America marches on...

If the Governor signs this I'm going to register to vote a 4th time just so I can increase the odds of him becoming unemployed.

What never fails to utterly amaze me about this is the ban also takes affect on your private property...

In response to the sudden increase in White Mountain hiker rescues, I'd like to propose a bill to the NH House to ban all hiking...

In light of the recent tragic drowning of a little girl, I'd also like to propose a banning of all river side recreation in NH...

Due to a recent lake drowning, I'd add that we should ban all canoeing in the state also...

The ban doesn't make ANY sense. Mandate EDUCATION & SAFETY CLASS requirements to ride...
