    T-REX

I stopped by Rochester Motorsports today they had a weird 3 wheeler in the parking lot getting ready to load on to a trailer. Turns out, it was a demo of a T-REX, rochester Motorsports had become the first dealer in the US of the canadian made T-Rex
briefly this is what I found out about the 2 wheel in front/one in rear 3 wheeler.

    1100cc Kawasaki motor
    0-60 in 4.something
    140 top speed
    but most unbeleivable
    1.4g cornering force, yup, I said 1.4g
    Cost $40k
colors: blue(the one I saw) and yellow
they should have one in the showroom in 2 weeks

A street vehicle with those numbers makes more sense.

1.4g of lateral acceleration??? I don't even thing there's a PRODUCTION car that's capable of that......

from what I understand, vipers, ferraris, lambos etc. are around 1.0

These things are real low to ground, so low that it would be annoying to drive in traffic, even in the midst of little econoboxes & sports cars you might feel as though your surrounded by SUVs

The Corvette was the first production car to be able to handle 1g of lateral acceleration in 1984. That was the first year they switched from the 'shark' body style (C-3) to the 'wedge' (C-4)....

Unfortunitely, the car was a bomb. One of the least desirable Vette's of all time......

TLS???? Really? I thought you were all over the TLR?
Yeah, that's what I meant. TL-S's are all over the place, but the TL-R's are going like hotcakes all of a sudden. Rochester had two '01's last week and they sold 'em both...

But I did get to check out this T-Rex thingy. WOW!!! That is one bad ass looking......thing....

    0-60 MPH in 4.1 seconds....
    Top Speed of 140 MPH....
    1.4g of lateral acceleration.....
    Seats two.....
    $39,999.....

JC, next time you come up you GOTTA see this thing!!

the wheelbase on the front is about a foot wider than most cages, any wider and it would need clearance lights to be legal.

Holy shit !!!!! I think I am need of a test ride. Or even just a passenger in one for a ride. I did see one go through Weirs last year and thought it was some kind of a one of a kind custom. Let me tell ya man, that thing sounded as bad as it looked too. But if I remember correctly this guy had a clear top on his, maybe an option? Or maybe a look alike? Either way, sitting in a go-cart like positon and doing over a buck on the highway sounds like quite a rush!

Yes, they sold it, they had it sold before it was delivered. I stopped there a minute today to make an apointment for a new rear tire & inspection.

the owner of Rochester Motorsports is getting one special painted black for himself and they will be getting another floor demo also.

Jason described a ride in one to me, he said that you can turn into a driveway at close to 100per and the Trex will make the corner, but you'd better be belted in good. He said they also planed on getting some track time for one at NHIS. If I find out when, I'll post it, thats something I'd like to see.

That is one BAD ASS vehicle. I was checking it out at the Rochester dealership (literature only) on Monday.

Wouldn't it be fun if they had so many of these things around, that they were prompted to give free test drives...?

Of course, leave it to a "motorcycle" based vehicle to SHAME all of the "world class" cars in lateral acceleration performance...

I've seen trex's at Laconia and Daytona. I'll have to see if I have any pics in my photo albums of them when I get a chance. I believe one of them had a wheelchair strapped to it as the driver was not able to use his legs fully.
