Oh and those bolts strip easy as fuck, so be careful with them. Figure out where you want them set THEN tighten them down.

lol I have yet to deal with my stripped bolt, luckily I liked how you set them up, Lauren just wants to be all matchy matchy with our bikes.

Well.... I have been wanting these since last season, and finally got my tax return back to buy them, just in time to find out from Ted at Duncanmoto that the US distributer had stopped importing them from Germany. I called and e-mailed about 30 stores/online vendors in the US but nobody had them in stock, they all would have had to order them from the US distributer whom had stopped importing a month ago. So... I bought them from the UK, and ended up paying a comparable US price even with shipping and the exchange rate. Got them from http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk good price and fast shipping. There is also a Canadian distributer that can get them too... Well worth the hassle. The kit comes with everything to convert to GP shift too, and as far as spare parts go, I will just bring my stock rearsets to the track just in case

Blue locktight everything up as well, mine fell apart while I was riding. I had to ride home in second gear.

Very curious to see how you like them. I have been thinking about picking up a pair, but can't decide between them and the LSLs...

Is there a folding footpeg replacement available for the Gilles rearset? I have them on my bike and would like to change the pegs to folding ones.

The bolts are VERY weak though, they strip easy.

the non-folding pegs actually work as frame sliders / crash protectors / roll bars / etc

I imagine a crash at speed would snap them off like a twig, but that's the idea behind them not folding

I had a low speed high side in the rain coming out of 12, exhaust never touched the ground because of the non-folding pegs (Sato rearsets). the friggin Canadian dirt I went down in did a lot more damage though. Much better feel with solid pegs too.

Cool that they held up at least...sucky about the dirt.

I've seen guys come out of 12 at NHMS and low side and have them break. I've seen guys come out of 12, low side, pick the bike up and take off without a problem. But yea, that's the gist of it.

I need me a set...course I'll put them on the bike instead of MAKIN to 'em and sleeping with them and cuddling with them and petting them and squeezing them and.. oh HI Lauren

the bolt holding the peg bent but that was easily replaced from the hardware store. I estimate I was probably only going 40mph or so. It was my first time riding on the track in the rain so I was trying to go easy.
