It depends on who you know, and what you want to do.
If you're just going to hoon around, get some 5200 and screws and run them in at least a week before you intend to ride them so they can cure. Use short screws that won't penetrate the carcass, and once that stuff cures, I can assure you, you won't spit a screw without spitting the whole knob too. Certain races require certain studs, and not screws, but I'm not reading that's your intent.

Well.. I know a lot of people who don't care about motorcycles. But some of them have fancy tools.

So do you think that would be overkill for the street?

Nothing crazy and definitely no plans to race.

We're taking about inserting bits of metal into your tires so you can have 2 wheeled fun in the dead of winter. That is overkill defined.

as long as you have acetone to clean up with afterwards. Otherwise it's a NIGHTMARE.

yes. Its the strongest silicone known to man. You need a grinder to get rid of the stuff.

Edit: seriously, DO NOT USE IT ON ANYTHING THAT EVER NEEDS TO BE TAKEN APART EVER AGAIN.
This includes putting a transducer on the bottom of your boat. Don't do it.

I followed Randyo around VT on some curvy roads at good speeds

With the flexible side wall of a radial I think the contact patch was actually larger than most MC tires

If I had the opportunity to do ALASKA (I'm not) I would go darkside and do all the roads on 1 setr of tires

Can also confirm this. It is PERMANENT. Period. If you get this on your clothes say goodbye, anything you stick with it is STUCK. The working time is pretty long so you've got time to do what you have to, but once it is set, it's there forever. It's very common in jetskis for obvious reasons.

Does it dry hard like glue or flexible like silicone?

    Anybody tried it on ABS

    Re: Car tires on motorbikes

It dries fairly flexible but harder than silicone. It's wicked frustrating to try to remove something stuck with it because you can see it move but it just doesn't let go lol.

I've only ever used it on fiberglass and metal fittings in fiberglass.
