I've experienced those BP check points also, when I drove to San Diego. Talk about middle of nowhere and the dead of night!
How often are you in AZ, Chris?

If you're gonna be in nogalas then chuckwalla might not be too far. I hear thats a really nice track.
I don't think anyone runs m/c trackdays at PIR. I like firebird. There are 3 tracks there and are pretty technical. Firebird main boasts a 1/2 straight. For fun twisty roads you have to head north 89A (wickenburg, yarnell, Prescott, sedona, Jerome flagstaff) or if you're down for a real trip head to the eastern border and hit 91(?) It goes over the world largest copper mine and turns into 100 miles of the most intense, twisty, desolate, demanding, mountain bliss you've ever dreamed of let alone ridden. (get gas first). I rode it N to S. Went through globe up into snowflake and pinetop I think.
I worked for aztrackday and they usually run at firebird. I don't know anything about chuckwalla.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
