Carrying a bike on a bike

A pedal-powered cycling buddy of mine always regretted driving to our rides in his car, while his shiny motorcycle was parked in the garage.
He showed up tonight on his Yamaha 650 (V Star?) with his bike on a 2x2 Cycles rack. His dream became reality.

Spotted a guy around here doing the same thing and it blew my mind.

I don't have a picture but one of my wife's uncles has a carrier for a mountain bike on the back of his Victory. It's odd looking when you see him ride past you.

I'd be impressed if he were able to pull that off the other way around.

    This is the ultimate nerd'dom.
I'd be lying if I said I hadn't tried to gather some bits to set this up though.

This has been bouncing around in my head for some time. I love riding to work but it's tough deciding between the Speed Triple or throwing the MTB through some trails.

Re: Carrying a bike on a bike

One Christmas I had bought my nephew a bicycle and didn't have a good way to carry it. We were heading up to the folks (about 35 miles) 2-up on her BMW R65 (she piloted, I was pillion) carrying all the presents and etc. I pulled a sling strap off of one of my rifles, attached it to the bicycle frame, and slung it over my back. Lots of honks and raised thumbs on the highway.

That was my thought too, lol. John said he's gotten a lot of strange looks, but he doesn't mind...now he's happy as a pig in shit!

I'm betting you were riding in sub-freezing temps and/or it was snowing too.

No, this was when I lived in San Diego. Christmas is not white in San Diego.
