    Almost there......chain and sprockets.

Phew, spent the last 2.5 hours out in the garage working on getting the new chain and sprockets on. I'm glad I finally decided to do this, I found probably 7-8 chain o-rings split in half and laying in the muck in the bottom of the sprocket cover, and who knows how many else flung off on the road somewhere. That would explain the "tight" spots in my chains I'd bet.

Next winter this bike is getting torn to pieces and cleaned, inch by inch, whether I keep it for next year or not, its just disgusting, I wouldnt doubt that I was the first one to ever clean half the stuff I've been cleaning. So far I've accomplished to remove the rear wheel and front sprocket and old chain. Completely degrease the swingarm, I removed the rubber chain guide and cleaned that :. I dont think that thing has seen the light of day in years. Degreased as best I could under the sprocket cover (again), and inside the sprocket cover, cleaned off any piece of metal I could possibly reach with my fingers and a rag. I Skilsaw'ed off the chain guard tabs, and ground those down, as theres no way I'm putting the mucky piece of plastic called a chain guard back on there, plus it will make chain maintenance that much easier. I cleaned off every piece and part I've removed off the bike so far, greased the rear axle and regreased the wheel bearings. Now I just need to get the rear wheel back on, cut the chain to length, strap that on, and get the front sprocket cranked down, and then button the bike back up. Oh, and I suppose I'll even adjust the chain tension while I'm at it. lol

I'm so glad I did this. Next is to buy some new sneakers for the bike, and strip the paint off the wheels before the tires get changed, the paint is falling off.

Yay, end rant. Just came in for dinner and needed to share.

I'm so crazy, I even did a 4 step torque sequence on the rear sprocket nuts.

    That's debateable.
