Pitbull I think are worth every penny. It's a close race with Woodcraft for me. Vortex a far-behind third. Personally, i would rather spend once on the quality.

    I see the K&L rear as a pit-bull copy at $100 more.

Had many different brands, but Pit Bull still the best. Pit Possy for an off brand works well but i don't think there still made? Woodcraft makes good stuff, and you most certainly can't go wrong there.

    Pitbull or Woodcraft

I will say that, for me at least, I found the oversized tubing of the Pitbull pin-style front stand to be a bit more cumbersome to use as compared to the Woodcraft

    Re: Pit Bull Stands

There’s plenty of lightly used ones available on FB Marketplace, I’ve gotten a few for $75-100 each. Even heavily-used ones for a good price would be a good deal since they’re built to last.

A long time ago, I bought a pair of “Venom” front/rear stands for like $20. They were definitely cheaper and more wobbly. I’d use those for basically storage only, no real wrenching.

A few years ago I got this set for $225. Rear is swingarm/spool, front is the convertible forklift and headstock lift. Both have the removable handles, which I like more than I thought i would. Not tripping over the handles, and it makes them easier to hang on the garage wall up near the ceiling, out of the way.

+1 for finding a used set off someone not aware of their value. I scooped all of mine for no more than $50 per stand for Pitbull’s off FB or Craigslist.

hmm, pretty much a consensus, can't go wrong with PitBull, getting it primarily to do chain maintenance on my K-Pipe, my V-Strom has an automatic oiler.

If you are just doing cleaning and oiling, you could get away with a roller stand for a lot less money. If you need the stand to change tires or tighten/loosen the chain etc, then yeah Pitbull are nice.

    Re: Pit Bull Stands

after doing a search, I found it is most practical to order directly from PitBull, I ordered a rear spool stand with removable handle

    Re: Pit Bull Stands

I’d recommend getting the one that the top brackets flip over to be either spooled or pad. It’s only like $10 more, it might come in handy if you ever find yourself wrenching on a bike without spools
