    Chilton's Hayne's or Clymer?

in my experience, Clymers for bikes are wa-a-a-y better than they are for cages. Haynes seem to be the opposite. never found Chiltons to be particularly good for either (tho I haven't bought one in years, mebbe they got better? )

either one (Haynes / Clymer) is a good addition to a factory service manual.

    Chilton's Hayne's or Clymer?

I agree with ya Jeff, the Clymers is pretty good for bikes but Haynes tend to be more geared towards cars. Chilton's never seemed to have enough info or pics to be able to get the job done. I've thumbed through a Chilton's at a local bookstore and it doesn't look like they have improved much from years past.

I would go directly to a dealer and buy the one they use...that is what I do but you get a lot more information.

    Chilton's Hayne's or Clymer?

yeah, I'll be looking for a factory service manual (if I can find one without breaking the bank) but it's usually nice to have one of the clymer/haynes versions for practical tips, like how to avoid buying "special tools" and stuff like that. Looks like it's gonna be Clymer. Thanks for the input guys.

oh, and anybody know where I can get a factory service manual for a 1982 CB 650? (besides e-bay)

Uhhh.... I got one...not factory, but practically brand new and it's decent...it's yours for $10 or a couple beers from Elm City Brewery.

I had a 1981 CB650 Custom that I got as a project and never did much with. Now I got tons of parts for it and the manual. If you want it, it's yours for the aforementioned price. Need any parts?

Can't remember if it's a Cylmer or Haynes. It's the one I prefer though.
