Hmmm... What's a Desmo cost? $75K? At $600 a day that's 125 straight days of rentals before they turn a dime's worth of profit. Think they can make it that long without someone wadding that thing up?

Some kinda crazy requirements to be able to rent that thing, understandably so I guess. Net worth of 100K+, 3K deposit if you just want to show it, 25K deposit if you want to ride it, no track riding, recent pictures of you next to your own bike, a required test ride on a ZX10 before they let you take it. Oh and let's not forget that you can't weigh more than 250lbs with your gear. A little excessive if you ask me (I know no body asked me but that's my $0.02 anyhow).

I'd be curious to see how often that thing is actually allowed to be rented out and how long it takes them to pay for it with all those requirements. Seems like it might just be a way for the owners to buy themselves a Desmosedici and write it off as a business expense.

Hope at least one of us goes for it and takes this thing out for a ride and writes it up for all to read about.

Im giong with that. Especially with all the requirements. Itd cost them more to monitor everything (including the zx-10 test ride) than theyd make renting it (slight exaggeration, but cuts into any profit)

    I'm waiting for t
he law suit from the guy that weighs over 250lb, and claims discrimination. I'm sure they have a good insurance policy for it, and for every test ride they sell, thats one more customer out there that may definitely want to buy one. I think its a good business idea. They can even sell the used one after the rental rate begins to drop.
