    Talking Clean the cobwebs off

After a year long nap (in my room ) I took it out to run some fresh gas through it, an oil change, and a good cleaning. I almost forgot how painfull it was to ride this bike on the street

My dog sure liked the smell of it, she walked around it 20 times sniffing everything

why is it so painful to ride? and how would you compare it to your r6 (performance and ergo-wise)

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike

Hard seat, high footpegs and low bars, and stiff suspension makes it painfull to ride.

Performance wise compared to the R6? The R6 doesn't compare at all. The R7 actually has decent torque and starts making power at a lower rpm than the 6, and it builds a lot of power quick once the rpm starts to climb

ahh so simliar to the performance characteristic as the pre '04 gen R1's huh? Looking closer to the seat...they do remind me of the seat (aka wood board) found on the 600rr. But I guess its like that so only ass cheek will be on that seat at a time

What year did they stop making the R7s? I've been hearing rumors that they "might" bring them back to compete with the gixxer 750s.

    This is "almost" funny... almost

I'll comment on the year but not the "compete with gixxer part", I hate seeing kids with new bikes running away with their tails between their legs

The first and last year of the R7 is 1999 There's rumors of a 2000/2001 model limited run of race only bikes but I've never seen any facts to back it up
