my cold, wet, bike (feedback anyone??)

OK, so I have a Dowco Guardian cover on my bike. Unfortunatlly I no longer live somewhere that I am able to keep my bike indoors. Over the last week I've noticed that my cover no longer functions the way it did a few years back. Once it kept my bike dry during rain. Now it's about the equivlant of a wet blanket laying over my bike.

SO....is there a way to re-water proof these things? If so, how. Do the covers need to be replaced every few years to keep things dry?

    thanks in advance,
    -sedition

Well, if you're just going to leave it outdoors anyway, why not kick it over onto the pavement and throw a tarp over it? It'll be dry then, wont it?

If you can't rehab it to new performance, I'd throw it on ebay, recoup a few bucks and buy a new cover that is at 100%. I've sold used stuff on ebay for bizzare high final bids, throw it on for .01, use some decent pics, and let impulse bidding take care of the rest

Yup.. people will buy just about anything on ebay.

Good pics... detailed description... organized layout... PayPal...

and the next thing you know... people are in a bidding war over it.

You need a really nice garage to keep the damn thing dry right now.

There's been so much moisture in the air my bike will have condensation on it even in the garage right now. Shit garage but you get the point...

mine has been damp when I take the cover off lately too. But what do you expect when it rains for 10 straight days. The air is too moist for it to not get wet
