Re: you knew this was comin....

Seen this on a Stunters FB page a few days ago....Yea, ummmm and not for nothing but this as far as I can remember has been going on since probably 98-2000 and either DTE or Starboys just made it famous along with some others. Hitting the streets has been going on for a long time.......and will still go on. Once big litre bikes hit the market it was on....

Nothing makes me want to own a klr more than squidly fucks like this.
I'd like to distance myself from that crowd, and still keep it on 2 wheels.

"Cardwell blames improved bikes and improved cameras for the spike in stunt videos on the Web, saying “technology is really the main culprit.”"

yup...never the individuals fault, they're just a victim.

Both of my primary dailies-the bike and my car-look entirely innocuous, yet are good fun to drive/ride. The more I see shit-shows like this, the more I think I may be doing it right.

You know, I once got cut off by a silver Accord trying to beat a beige Camry into a Walmart parking lot. I think these machines are clearly a menace to society. I think we should ban beige Camrys and silver Accords. We should also consider requiring permits to go to Walmart.

Or just nuke the entire site from orbit, only way to be sure.

    We need a face-palm smiley.

Meanwhile distracted driving is pretty much an epidemic as far as I can tell. I spend 10 hours a week, minimum getting back and forth to work and I seriously can't remember the last time I saw a squid wheelie, let alone a gang of them. On the other hand I see at least 5-6 douchebags every single day do something dangerous because they're too busy texting, talking or humping their own image on FB. I wonder how many of the high and mighty set read that story on their phone while driving?

Just make running over packs of "stuntas" 100% legal. Problem solved. At least it's easy to prove it was a squid when the remains you scrape off the highway have no gear on them.

I was trying to make fun of kneejerk reactions based on the technology comment by Cardwell. I guess it didn't come off quite right. But I do think we should outlaw Walmarts, and Prius in the fast lane. No sarcasm there, we really should kick those little fuckers to the slow lane where they belong.

I know. I agree. I was piling on the sarcasm. Or trying to at any rate.

    you knew this was comin....-facepalm-worf-gif

I think we should outlaw assault Range Rovers. Clearly being painted black and having extra capability to mow down riders is more than the average business person can be responsible with.

    Speak for yourself!

How about we first ban all the fucktards in pickups who think they own the road. I may be an exception, but my Prius gets a workout and the tires like to screech a little.

I know it is not the car, but EVERY day this week on either the way to or from work (or both) I've been stuck in a long line of speed limit +3 traffic all headed up by, you guessed it, a Prius. The ones I've driven aren't held back by power, but OMG drive or GTF out of the way!!! Maybe I should brake check them on the bike? I've heard that works...

I really want someone to do a study of the net effect of one prius' environmental savings versus the damage done by 5-10 angry drivers behind them. Are they really saving the world by making everyone behind them drive in 3rd gear?

Don't they have a little mileage indicator gimmick in there telling them what rpm to drive under any circumstances ?

Yes, and it obviously takes place of the rear view mirror.

rpm, no. They're automatics. I know Honda has bars on the dash that turn green when you drive "good" and blue or white when you're not.

As for the anger drivers, I think it's hilarious to pass one in my diesel uhaul with it floored. I only wish I could get it to blow smoke at them.

Old washer fluid tank and lightweight oil. Plumb a line to dump oil on the exhaust. Rig washer pump to a switch in cab. Smoke 'em out on demand
