Does anyone have any experience with the SL1000 Falco from aprilia? How does it really stack up against the suzuki and honda v-twins?

I found this page that has limited info.

Howz about one of these bad boys:

I don't know anything about them, but I saw one of these pull out of my local Auto Zone's parking lot and it sounded awesome. Gotta love the exhaust config

    Heheh...

Anyone look at the review of the MV F4 in Cycleworld (or is it Motorcyclist?) this month?

"In Summary, for $19,000 you can buy 2 GSX-R 750s, and each of them, from every performance aspect, will beat on the F4S like a Gong. But if you have to have an exotic, you'll want this bike instead."

It is a cool bike but it is really porky compared to the Gixxer and the ZX-7 and it's down on power too. (It weighs 60lbs more than the Gixxer)

the Falco is a sport tourer....
doesn't make as much power as the TLR, but its lot's more comfy!
As for a woodie rating, I'd get the new Yamaha FJ1300 before I'd get the Falco.
If you are into ripping up the twisties....you are better off with the TLR.
The RC-51 is overpriced too. For what you save in money, you can make the Suzuki a hotrod.
I've heard from the grapevine, that Suzuki isn't pulling the plug on the "V"-Twin....
There is word of one helluva RC, Duc, Mille Killer coming from Suzuki....I'm gonna wait this one out! The TLR engine has a lot more power potential, and if they do a chasis like the Gixxer, It's gonna be one tuff bike to beat!

KTM is spose to be putting the LC8 motor in the Duke soon, that should be one hellava blade, the LC8 motor is something like 40 lbs lighter than the TL motor, also a 75° vee so that it can set lower in the chassis

Yeah, I read the article. But it means nothing to me. If I followed the advice of every article I've ever read, I wouldn't be on a Tiller. And if peeps bought motorcycles based on performance ALONE, you surely wouldn't be on an SV...

    Maybe,

But Tillers and SVs don't cost 2-3x as much as other bikes with the same performance.

That's like if you bought a Ferrari that got toasted by an Acura RSX or something.

That's all fine & dandy. If you didn't understand what I was saying, it was simply that it doesn't always boil down to performance issues. If that were so, we woulda bought a Vipor instead of an 18 year old Corvette...

That being said, IF I had 20 large to blow on a bike, it'd still be the MV. Maybe even the Strada...

funny thing... while riding through boston last night with JJ and Jaime, we saw an Augusta... all four funny looking exhausts and everything. pretty fucking sweet looking, but the KID riding it, did not look like he belonged on the thing and he kept revving it like crazy without goign anywhere, we went with him for like a block, and i was getting a headache from listening to the noise.
