    Considering 2004 CBR600rr or other 600s? 1L ?

Hey guys, I got R6 stolen last month sometime... and looking for a replacement. I really enjoyed the R6, but was looking into other bikes. I was considering trying our the cbr600rr~ or maybe even move into the 1L bikes around the 3K~ range.

    Thoughts?

They're fast, look awesome, and are terrible for passengers. Also, expect to get killed on insurance.

Whatever blows your skirt up. It's your $ and life. If I were gonna get a new sportbike, it wouldn't be a sportbike. Ktm690smc.

Ha one, loved it, but go for the 05 if you have the money. But with a 3k budget...you'll have a tough time even finding an 04.

There are some on Craigslist in the higher $3xxx range, but they're all around 20k miles.

Why does everyone get killed on insurance? I have a 2007 CBR1000RR w/ 250K/500K full coverage and pay under $700/year. Unless you're under 6 years experience.

Add another vote for the F4i. Plenty of bike for the money and all within your price range.

Another thing to consider if insurance is an issue, look into the nekkid bikes. Good power and handling and the insurance companies like them too! Plus, they are unique and none of them are a Gixxer.

I'm less in the boonies than some. I'm 20 minutes from Providence and 30 from Worcester.
