What's so hard about getting a plate? All I had to do was walk in to the registry hand 'em some money and I walked out of there with a registered and fully legal new toyOriginally posted by oreo_n2

Hope you get your plate in time for the trip. The gap outta be really fun on these things.
Joel
Did you get knobbies for that thing? We're running the dirt dragon as well down there![]()
I hope I have the KTM plated by the trip... oh wait it's already plated![]()
Yamaha
Nope no knobbies, that may take me some time. The forks are set up for the radial mount Brembo caliper and as such don't allow the use of a smaller front disc. I am on the lookout for a front end off of one of the Husky enduro bikes that will have the proper provisions for riding with dirt wheels, then I can buy the dirty parts and go have some fun in the woods with you guys.Originally posted by R7

Joel, that thing is sweet. Have fun at the gap.

Just put the big disc on the dirty wheels, that would be the easiest swap?Originally posted by tls25rs

Thanks to everyone that gave the congratulatory comments.
It's been a long time since I got a new bike and I figured what the heck I'll get a new toy. Hopefully I will be able to keep my license and still have a good time riding this thing. I'm thinking Deal's Gap and the track are the safest places to ride this thing without fear of losing the license.
Lion
Nope, still have the TL and will definitely keep on riding it, it is too much fun to get rid of or retire. Plus, the whole motard thing isn't all that great for the longer type of rides I enjoy going on. I should be there on the 25th work permitting, we'll see.

Probably

I don't know man, rotors that big are pretty expensive to replace when you tag a rock with it or some other solid object
Iglu
I don't know man the added weight of you riding bitch might be a problem.I might be persuaded to let you sit on it and make motorcycle sounds though.
Squizz
Did you say you ended up by knowing it????????? JK you have no idea how hard it was to keep this thing hidden. I knew I was getting it since the middle of March and actually picked it up on April 1. I must say I had some fun playing with the people that usually play jokes on every one else. They had no idea, it was great.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Congrats Joel, Nice Choice. I am sure you will love it. I can't wait to buzz around Loudon with you on the 25th.
