    Hmmmmmmmmmmm

    Welcome aborad.

    Spelling would help LOL

    Bike test?

get 7 out of 10 and you're golden.

Someone here said the penalties listed in the ABCD answer section (the right answers) are usually the highest / stiffest fine.

    Lights 115 ft.

    Use common sense like driving..........

    liscence test question

Take it on a small bike, like a 250 or 500 if you can. When I had to do my figure 8's it was on this side street and I was nearly hitting the curb at full lock. A bike with a better turning radius than a sport bike would be preffered. To make matters worse there was loose gravel everywhere.

When your doing the figure 8's lean the bike over with your arms but keep your body upright. I think this is called counter balancing. Use the clutch to accelerate, not the gas. Just keep the gas at a constant rpm and modulate the clutch to control your speed.

    And good luck!

    liscence test question

Your CBR should be fine if you take time to practice.

Don't know the exact tests as I did the MSF Basic course instead.
I don't think there's any written part, that was for permit (just read the RMV manual a few times and you'll do fine for that)

My suggestion would be to go to Barnes&Nobles/Borders/ at first chance and pick up a book called "Proficiant Motorcycling" by David Hough. Thumb through it looking for sections on skill development and you should see good description of slow U-turn/circles. Buy and study the book, then go out and spend lots of time in the parking lot getting comfortable doing U-turns, figure-8's, and circles going no faster than walking pace (get a buddy to walk next to you).

    Basically, for slow circles (clockwise):

Slow to desired pace, keep balls of feet on pegs, slide butt to left so right butt cheek is on left edge of saddle, look over right shoulder, turn handlebars a bit towards right while simultaneously leaning bike over to right and adding more and more weight on left peg. Feather throttle and clutch to keep positive forward power.

Start with big wide circles and slowly get smaller and smaller, alternating between clockwise & counterclockwise., eventually moving on to figure-8's.

Also spend time practicing emergency stops.

That should get you started. Good luck!!

Another good idea might be to show up early, and if the course isn't being used practice the different exercises within the boundries of the test area. In CT the lines for the different aspects of the riding portion are painted down. (cones are also added for the actual test)

    Worked for me anyway...

    Good luck!

Better yet, why not sign up for the MSF course now for next March and learn how to ride from the pros. Passing the MSF course waives the RMV test and gets you insurance discounts.

+1 on this. I would take the MSF even if you do pass your license test.

Figure 8's is the hardest part of getting your license.

Figure 8's is the least important thing you'll need to know to stay alive, IMHO.

    Good luck!

    Re: Wooo Hoooo !

Werd... now you're gonna sign up for the MSF course right

i'm actually a strong believer that passing a course like the MSF beginner course, or one even MORE stringent should be REQUIRED to attain a motorcycle license. but above all, i think that the MSF course in this area should be less expensive... the price is RETARTED in Massachusetts compared to other states

with that mini-rant over... HAPPY RIDING

what year is your CBR? (never heard of a twin cbr ... hehe.... jk, i know what cha mean)

Buy this book and read it 2 or 3 times. Then after riding 3000 miles, read it again because it will make more sense.

Once you feel comforable on the bike at speed and have several thousand miles under your belt, I'd read Twist of the Wrist II by Keith Code.
