    coolant flush?

Its real simple I suggest getting a shop manual, just about taking out a bolt out draining, but a lil' more detailed. I do mine once a year

    coolant flush?

I do it all the time for track to street to track to...

disconnect the lowest hose (down by the pump) into a small bucket. Caution: HOT!! Filling is harder, some bikes have a bleed valve, anyway, you have to physically tilt the bike back and forth to burp the radiator, refill, run the engine briefly, refill, bring up to temp, refill.

There is a big difference between bike and car antifreeze; lubricant for the ariconditioning (bikes don't have these).

    Where' you at?
If you get the chance, switch over to 'propolene; alcohol based. This is legal on the track.

    coolant flush?

As long as it's distilled water. My 1k runs 15 degrees hotter with H2O, in the summer that's an issue.

You can't run antifreeze based on glycol at NHIS, it's an oil that won't be absorbed by the track's speedydry, unlike motor oil.

K', anitfreeze has a specific heat that allows it to absorb and discharge heat faster than water. This function helps keep her running cool in summer and not freeze in winter. This is why I need to use coolant in the summer, it's not just to keep it from freezing in winter storage.

    i'll buy that

someone mention about why antifreeze is not allow at NHIS, but can't remember why H2O is not as good as antifreeze in summer.

    thanks

    just a thought

if 15degrees is an issue isn't it an issue at the track as well? you run the bike even harder correct? if so how do racers deal with this?

    coolant flush?

The issue is my nuts get roasted at a stop light! Or stop and go.

Nope, there is enough air flow at the track and no time to worry about the boys.

+15 degrees does not even kick on the fan while moving. But sit at a light when it's 94 out and YIKES!
