I have 2nd gen SV 650S triples and clipons I'd trade for your N stuff if you want to go that route.

Shit, sorry I'm late to the party, next time ping me.

I believe I put N triples on, because you can't just take S triples and put regular bars on. (No swapping of just the top clamp either)
And as far as the ride height is concerned I'm pretty sure I set it to stock length.
I put the tall seat and kept the 03 subframe because it made for less of an extreme knee bend.
Edit: the bike did also have tank grips. The rubbery ones the dude on svrider makes. Good product.

I fixed the plate illumination this morning, went back over to have the bike reinspected, and they failed me for having rear blink integrated with the rear brake lights instead of proper 8-inch-apart rear signals. The same shop passed the bike in this same configuration last year. Apparently MA started fining individual shop employees for issuing stickers to technically non-compliant bikes, or so they told me. Damn gub'mint what be restricting mah freedomz.

I don't mind running DOT ambers on both ends, but with the high-mount exhaust I'm not sure how I'm going to mount them up in the rear. Could be a good excuse to try snipping and bending some sheet metal around, or maybe I'll just take all the lights off and make it a track bike. Sigh.

Are the stock wires still there for the blinkers?

I had integrated blinkers on my Kawasaki... for inspection I'd just bolt the stock blinkers back on, plug em in, get it inspected and then take them off, forgetting that it was illegal

Hehe, fair enough. I haven't verified this with a wiring diagram, but my sense is that the original blinker wires (or leads "upstream" from them) are now fed into the integrated tail along with the brake light and running light leads. I'm actually sort of looking forward to the project of making a different fender eliminator setup (sheet metal? 3D print?) but I'm assuming it won't be too hard to use a test light to figure out which leads are which in there. There's a stock tail light in the box of spares, so I expect the only tough part will be designing and braking a new bracket.
