Never
Low speed drops, no injuries, not really a "crash"
Yes once, but I've put it out of my mind like it never happened
Once, and I the horrid feeling of the crash affects my riding decisions
Multiple times, I am fully aware of how bad crashing sucks
Multiple times, and it is easy for me to forget how bad it sucks
Have you crashed?
Guess my poll is to confusing, I voted for the wrong one.
I've crashed once on the motorcycle and it is easy for me to remember how bad it sucks, it keeps my throttle hand under control.
I've had a bunch of bad bicycle crashes. I was involved in 4-5 bad crashes last year in races, although I only went down twice. I did have to go to the hospital once though.
I've also flipped my mountain bike very hard once and almost got very badly hurt.
So it is easy for me to remember how bad it sucks... I never really get cocky and forget what crashing is like.
In my 8 years of riding, I have never even tipped a bike over. This scares me, because I really feel like I'm "due".![]()
Two driveway drops and the only thing that suffered was those damn blinker stalks on the EX...
Once I was coming into a paved "no facilities" type rest area off a busy two lane road and i got caught up in gravel I never saw. Got bucked off which surprised and confused me more than hurt me...
But I just wrapped up season #3... so I don't feel lile I'm "due" or anything....
GO TO TONY'S TRACK DAYS!

twice, maybe three times technically, and I'm sure there will be more. It comes with the territory. The risks are worth the rewards for something I'm so pasionate about.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Crashed 3 times on the street this season, and at least 8 times on the track (counting YSR crashes, but those don't really hurt)... this was my third season. i only had low speed drops and stuff during my first two seasons. i must be getting suckier and suckier
crashing isn't so bad if you're wearing good gear and do it in a controlled environment![]()

Crashed this season for the first time, lowside in sharp corner
It really sucked, and it is in the back of my mind
and somewhat affects my riding. I look at road conditions
more now, ie; sand in corners. I am starting to smooth back out again, just in time for winter storage. So hopefully next spring, i'll be back in full form.

I am the Plate, Step Up to Me
Back in 68 ...68? yeh i'm that old
A van pinned me against a retaining wall and I kind of bounced from wall to van a few times before I hit the ground.
When I regained consciousness still pinned under bike I counted 19 cars that went within 6 inches of my head before somebody stopped. Don't know how long I was out but there was a small stream of blood and gas that was about 15 feet long.
Anywho road it home had a friends wife patch up the road rash, right ankle ground to exposed ground bone. That night I had a fever spike to 104 so we went to the emergency room and my ankle was broken a little with pulled tendons etc. Got a flexicast so dressings could be changed.
Then this precipitated an Alices restaurant type story that can only be told where there is room for hand gestures etc. Bottom line; it kept me from going to Vietnam so on balance not so bad. Unlike John Kerry I knew if I went to Vietnam I'ld crap my pants
Dirt bike crashes if you don't, you ain't been trying. Worst injuries lacerated face with concussion a thick branch stab right into my helmet between chinbar and top; like being speared in a joust.

I've had one crash, a bad one. It's DEFINITELY changed the way I ride on the street (READ: mellow). The day after the crash, I went to the doctor complaining of a sore shoulder and a headache. Told me I had dislocated the shoulder (again), tore up some ligaments, and got me a nasty concusion. About 4 weeks later I went back complaining of mid-back & neck pains. Found out I had cracked 4 ribs (in my back) and broken my collar bone. A year or so after THAT, I went back 'cuz my lower back was SERIOUSLY fooked up. Could barely move. Found that I had three chipped vertabrae in my lower back...
That crash is in my mind every time I ride, and that happened FOUR years ago!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
OK the first crash I can remember was in the rain at about 40mph drum brakes front and rear
Then I can think of a high speed one that I was able to get the bike under one of the big highway signs.
Then I got hit by a van and two nice high speed ones coming through hard turns
Then here I had one at night, no 2 at night both on turns
One I ran into a car at like 120 that sucked
and I just crashed infront of Ryan's House
There are more I just cannot think of them right now.
and I only had a jacket and gloves on for 2 of those above. The rest are in a tank top![]()
Only once long ago doing something totally STUPID, I hope it never happens again.![]()

Street = never, track = all the friggin time!
LRRS\CCS\WERA #486
Had two street crashes
1. While leaving Loudon racetrack on Bike week a few years ago. I was in heavy motorcyle traffic and someone came across in front of me and took out my front tire with their rear tire. They never stopped. they just kept going. This resulted in minor faring damage and a broken collar bone. I rode the bike home and went to the hospital later that night.
2. Very hot day and there was crack filler on the road. I was coming around a tight corner and hit the stuff. Bike slid out from me. Frame damage to the bike and I had minor scrapes.
They are slightly in the back of my mind while riding.
( in a good way) I try not to dwell on them.

Just after I pushed vote for "never".![]()
I've got 12,000 miles under my belt and the bikes never been down. Had a couple low speed almost tips but i was able to muscle the bike back up.
The worst close call was after a 5 hour trip home with only one gas stop. I got home and parked, figured I'd check my oil level and dirtyness in the window. Tilted the bike to upright while squatting next to it and it almost came over on me. Guess I didn't realize how fatigued I was.![]()
Oh and I almost looped the bike trying to do a wheelie when I was a n00b. Basically came up to a 12 and then slammed back down. Ouch.

1 crash was enough for injury enough for me miss it dont know what happened or how it happened but its a ending to my cycle life
I have yet to dump a streetbike, and hopefully I got all of the crashing out of the way with 16 years of MX. I'm also afraid to vote for fear of jinxing myself....
