This is a stupid question , but how do I get the carbon fiber sticker off triple tree

Tried putting the scotts stabilizer on , the carbon sticker will not let me mount it correctly. I tried using a blow dryer and I failed ,cant believe how sticky it is , I dont want to nic up the triple tree. Any Ideas? Thanks

Bury the hair dryer onto the thing set on high. You wont hurt the anodizing with but watch the surrounding plastic areas.

If you have a sharp piece of plastic to wedge under there to get it started, that might be of some help too.

Try using a dinner knife, they are strong and not too sharp, also, try using WD40 on the blade, it will stop the adhesive from re-sticking! Once you get it started, you should be able to rip it off!

I think I just used a putty knife and muscle, but a heat gun will help, hairdryer may not get hot enough.

heat gun. then some mild goo-gone for the glue that might be stuck on the triple. like chuck said, i have one if you need it

Why not just use an exacto to cut the cf around the scott's mount? That's what Femmekat did

wd 40, and an old credit card or plastic putty knife. you dont NEED any more than that, but heat will def help. blow drier did it for me

Just keep working at it with a hairdryer. Maybe you need a heat gun, but heat softens the glue. Plastic putty knife will help. Goo gone works for the glue, or if you can get your hands on it, Big Orange from ZEP is the best. Let it soak for 5-10 min then use a plastic knife or bondo paddle to scrape it off.
