    Unhappy Dang O Dang

    Long Story short.......
Lady pulls out of side street right in front of me and leaves me only a couple choice's.....1) allow my self to slam into the rear-side,conor-bumper of her station wagon.......2) Lightly swarve and lay it down along sandy side walk........oh 3) swarve wide and runinto chainlink fence

I was had FULL gear on and was able to walk away (much better and faster then the next day to follow)

I LIKE stories like this. Accidents are almost inevitable, gear usually works and I'm glad it did this time too. Hope your bike is OK.

Not much for litigation but I hope you plan to get some money from her insurance company. Call and ask for pain and suffering cash in addition to whatever they give you for property damage. Might be good for an extra $5-15K without needing to get a lawyer.

haha.... i pressume you don't actually get excited & happy when you hear someone had an acciedent & that's pretty obvious. I get what you're sayin though. If there's gonna be an accident, that's how it should go "i was wearing full gear & was able to walk away w/ just some bruises"

Man dude.... although that sucks, i'm glad to hear it had the "happy ending". As in the "lesser of two evils" ending. Hope you're not too sore the bike can heal up quick

side note - yer pic doesn't work. host it on www.sportbikes.net or somethin
    EDIT: nm, it's workin now

Maybe I do... Perhaps, I also like to see Chipmunks and squirrels quivering in their final death dance in the road after being hit by cars and have been known to torture puppies just for fun.

You are right, I could have worded my original response better...

    (I really don't torture puppies)

    I went wit #2
But it didnt go exactly like I whished.....
I dont really reacalleverything that happened but after reviewing the flashback's end damage. The Original plan of a low side changed from the starting in a low side and the the bike "caught" and flipped to a high side too and landed on me

Hence..."her car was so rough to begin with, it was hard to tell if I made any type of contact"
Also "I DONT recall 100% of what happened"

She had said she only recalled hearing some thump and then seeing WHITE ( My bike was bou 70% white and my Jacket & gloves were white)

I am wondering if you didn't contact her vehicle if the police/whoever are going to try and hold you at least partly responsible for the accident.

If that is the case they can say you just lost control on your own and crashed.

Did she have a stop sign, etc.. that clearly gave you the right of way?

I know this isn't what you wanna hear right now, Mark. But 'totalled' is an insurance term which basically means that the repairs are gonna cost more than the bike's worth. They basically buy it from you for 'face value' 'cuz it's cheaper for them to do that than fix it. Neither of you having insurance, 'totalled' isn't an avenue you can really explore...

That shitty stuff being said: What state does your road bike and parts bike lie in now? Let's start with what NEEDS to be done to get it back on the road, ASAP...

Let's start there, with the necessities. Never mind trying to make it look pretty right now. Never mind about a fancy, shiney, loud exhaust for now. What NEEDS to be done to get 'er on the road? You've still got a coupla weeks before you need to get it inspected, so you can at least get away with some half ass shit for a short while...

Start a list of the MUST DO's, and let's see where you are...
