99% of the time, that would be the case. That is most likely the case with this bike too, but let's say it is a NOS 06 or maybe a 07, there is a good chance it is not warrantieable due to the manufacturer's policy.
Don't let this stuff scare you, the deal sounds good. I am just bringing up a potential issue that can apply with a leftover bike.
My buddy bought an '04 rsvr from seacoast in '07, it was a new leftover. No problems with the warranty. FWIW, they come w/a 2 year warranty.
That sounds like a decent price. Maybe not a steal, but I guess it really depends if the dealer is going to waive prep and doc fees. I own two, great bikes, plenty of spare parts available for reasonable money. Good luck.

I think I picked mine (2007) up for $7,500. last summer with 1700 miles on it.
