Much better bike, easier to handle and not as likely to throw you into the bushes or down a cliff.

All of these litre bike are overkill...no one NEEDS a 1000cc bike. A new 600 is more bike then 99.9% of the people can handle....you get a litre bike because you want a litre bike. Not because a 600 is too slow.

Kham, you might say you will slow down ...etc but that is not the only problem...the problem is usable power. How fun is it to ride around in 2nd or 3rd gear all the time..you spend all of this extra money on a bike that will more likely then not hurt you..either literally or wallet wise.

All it will take is you to exit a corner in the wrong gear...give it a littel too much gas then the next thing you know you are sliding across the pavement and your brandy new pretty zx-10r slams into a gaurdrail....then you have to listen to all of the I told ya so's.....

I'm not telling you what to do but you should really think about this purchase...think about what is more important in a bike. Do you want something that looks pretty but more power then you need..or can handle...more ins.$$

I am no one to tell anyone how to ride..but i wouold think this one over long and hard...and get a couple of ins. quotes before you make up your mind.

If you have anything but a clean record and are under 25, I'm pretty sure that will be the deciding factor.

i did ever since. insurance quote is around $1300. same as 600.
