    Race back protectors

I am in the Market for a new back protector. The one I have is old and I crashed in it once, still think it would work in the event of another get off but I believe its time for a new one.
So I was looking at this (Knox Aegis V14) and was wondering if anyone has one and what they think about it? Also would not mind opinion's on other makes and models?
    Thanks

I rock a leatt vest that has a back protector and chest protector under my leathers. It doesn't ride up underneath and is lightweight. I love it.

I use an Alpinestars Bionic SP vest, chest and back protector. It's pretty thin and all in one so it's convenient.
Last year I bought a forcefield vest that would be an upgrade, but it added way too much bulk under my leathers. I may sell it.

    Re: Race back protectors

I wear an older Knox Contour back protector and matching chest protector. I like it. It has served me well in a bunch crashes. Looks like that Knox may be the modern equivalent. They make a solid protector. Or at least used to.

One issue with the Contour is it is much thicker than most. I wound up needing to go up one size on my suit just to fit the back and chest protector in there with me.

Shameless plug. I actually have an unused knox aegis with tag still on it. I rode around the block once to make sure it fit and never used it again. I LOVE knox stuff. I tried on a bunch of different ones and it seemed to have the best protection in the lowest profile. It deffinately does take up less space than most, and was damn comfortable and articulates like crazy. I don't know where you are located but you are welcome to come try it on. Even if you don't buy it, no hard feelings. If you do want to meet up just try and email me. I sold my bike last year so I am not on here as much as I used to be. I just randomly popped in and saw this thread.

Fs practically new leather suit and new unused back protector

I've been rocking the same chest/back protector from Impact Safe-T Armor since 2006... it's flat out FUCKING AWESOME.

Same as Oreo - I’ve been riding/racing with my Impact for at least 5 years - it’s awesome!
