Help! Definitely buying a 2-piece suit SOON

Old school Kawi Dainese suit, cheap!

They've got lots of other Dainese stuff on clearance that would be way better than a low-end Alpinestars suit that is going to run you $600+ The Luce suit would be at least equal to that, and at a substantial savings.

EDIT: um, I know that suit is only available in larger sizes than you wear. But have you looked around at the other stuff on that site? PM Karaya One for possibly even better deals than they are offering on the site. Also, this business is in MA, so it would be at your doorstep within like 2 days.

Good luck, and get your ass in gear!

EDIT2: alternately, have you at least checked out MAW's closeout deals on leathers? They've got a fair selection at like 1/2 off as well...clicky

I can get you a Luce suit in the $450.00 dollar range no problem. I

I still have quite a few K-suits but most of the common sizes are gone UNLESS you want yellow / black (kinda ) IMO.

    Call me at 800-628-4040

Thats where I got my P1 suit on sale for $625 Its a little more now, but not much than the GPU.

I am really glad I spent a little more $ and got what I really wanted. I lowsided at ~45 with them and they held up great. On of the tags ripped, but otherwise it held together great.

THey also have deals on other a* suits like the TLD for less than the GPU!!

    Check it out man

hmmmm.... what to get, what to get...

    review on the Luce

i think i'm about a size 52 euro. I tried on the a* gpu jacket which was a 52 & it fit just loose enough to fit a back protector under there.... or at least, so i would immaging

does the Luce have some good back protection built in?

You might even be a 40/50 from what I remember you saying re: your size. I'm a 44/54 (usually, though it depends a little on brand) and I'm 6' 190#. Leathers should be pretty snug.

I live very near Dave, and he let me try on a few different suits in my house which was sweet. If you give him your measurements (chest, waist, inseam) he'll tell you what size to go with. He has done a very good job sizing things for both my wife and I based on measurements.

Good luck. Oh, and if you have reservations on the Luce based on those reviews, you could always step up to the high-end Dainese stuff that is on clearance for under $600. Or get a really good IXS one piece(what I did because I have a full textile suit which I use on the street as it is more versatile) for cheap money, and have awesome protection.

Your call...but make it quick! The clock is ticking...

What are your chest and waist measurements? And I mean take out a tape measure and actually measure.

i have the Luce suit, in my opinion it is more of a touring/street-riding suit than a trackday or racing suit. it doesn't have any built in back protection, nor any pockets to put in CE back armor, but you'd probably want to buy a separate back protector if you really want to protect your back anyway. it also doesn't have knee sliders, and you'll definitely want those when you're dragging your knees around on the track

also, think twice before wearing an all-black suit on the track in the middle of summer. that thing soaks up heat like crazy. it's not perforated, and there are two vents in the back, but if you are wearing a back protector, the vents get blocked and don't do anything.

i would definitely recommend a Dainese K suit over a Luce suit if you can find one in your size. i could only get a Luce in my size, but don't get me wrong, it's a good suit and the leather is good quality and i like it.

oh yeah, and you'd mentioned wanting to get a 2 piece suit where you can wear the jacket alone? you can't do that with the dainese suits, the jackets are pretty short.

I have the P1 and I can wear the jacket by itself with no problems. It has a piece that extends down at the back which pretty much covers when you are hunched over the tank.

There's a one piece chicane suit in the "green things" section of newenough that's size 40.

    Yeah I know you were looking for a 2pc, but it's $219

I think you said you have size 9 feet. MAWonline has a pair of Alpinestars SMX-Gore Tex boots on clearance in size 9US/43Euro for $89.95. These are boots that I paid $200 for a couple of years ago. They are a pretty good sport boot...and waterproof.

A* and buy your own back protector....

The ones they supply with the suit are no where near as good as an external one.......most racers take the ones that come with the suit out and use an aftermarket one

Doesn't MAW have P1 (better than TZ1) 2-pc suits for less than $600 on closeout? Did they not have them in your size or something? Just wondering...
