Man dies in Fitchburg crash

FITCHBURG -- A man driving a dirtbike northbound on Summer Street was killed after he collided with a Honda pulling out onto the road from Boutelle Street around 2:15 p.m.
The man, described by witnesses as looking like he was in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Tim Connolly, spokesman for District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.
The bike, which was not meant for the street, according to Fitchburg Sgt. Glenn Fossa, was thrown into the front yard of the house on the corner of Summer and Hancock streets.
The Honda also collided into a Toyota Camry going the opposite way on Summer Street.
There were no other injuries at the scene, Connolly said.
