Yeah, thats right.
Since this was a single vehicle accident, and there were no bodily injuries caused by the rider, “injury insurance” is irrelevant.

I couldn't find a full legal definition if that's what you want. I got this far:
Public Safety refers to the welfare and protection of the general public. It is usually expressed as a governmental responsibility. Most states have departments for public safety. The primary goal of the department is prevention and protection of the public from dangers affecting safety such as crimes or disasters.

Yeah, my point was more about how any insurance wouldn't cover this funeral as it was an unregistered vehicle on a public road.

In, Mass, speeding by itself is not a crime, it is a civil infraction.
I do think this rider was endangering public safety to some degree, that is a busy street. I think he should have been pulled over and issued a civil infraction and, if warranted, had the dirt bike impounded.
The fact that he died is a tragedy way out of proportion to his actions, in my opinion.
But for the grace of God, there go I. We’ve all been equally or more irresponsible.

Until you actually answer the questions asked, I'm done with you dodging things and playing coy. Starting to feel like talking to Rambo again.
What I gather, you think guy on dirtbike dying deserves death and is a public safety danger. You going 100mph+ on public roads is all fine and vanilla and safe.
Got it.

Not entirely true. This varies by driver, locally posted road speeds, and circumstance. An ambulance is allowed to speed to an emergency, as are police cars and fire trucks. Everything else is criminal after 80MPH I think. Drag racing is also a criminal offense, even if you're doing the speed limit: https://www.relentlessdefense.com/pr...s/drag-racing/

I intentionally used “by itself”
“ In Massachusetts, speeding alone will not result in a criminal charge or reckless driving arrest. However, this is not the case in many other states. In Virginia, for example, driving 20 MPH or more in excess of the posted speed limit automatically constitutes the offense of reckless driving.”

Nope its literally what you said. And you've avoided expanding on it any further. I can literally quote you on those statements.
So if you don't believe into what you type doesn't matter to me, but those statements from you are factual and you've provided nothing to counter your own statements other than "you're wrong".
Pot meet kettle

While technically true, MA cops can and will pull out "reckless driving" based on whatever their professional judgement of safety is.

I've done it for the last 2 pages. See above.
Or go to your user settings, click "see last posts by me" and read them.
Onus is on you at this point in time. I've reiterated questions you've ignored 3x as well. Not putting in any more work that you simply skip and ignore.
So yes this is your statement. This guy deserved to die and was a danger to public but speeding is all safe and willy nilly with no danger and you're okay to be doing it.
Technically if the discovery finds out that the guy was going above the speed limit at the time of crash, then by your own logic he wasn't a danger to safety.

Re: Dirt Bikes Seized by Boston Police
For anybody checking into this thread here is the latest update.
PurplePackage is fine with him breaking the laws such as speeding, but when others do it, they are a danger to public safety and their death is deserved and is no big loss. Could even be a benefit is he's an organ donor!
-
Re: Dirt Bikes Seized by Boston Police
If you want my driving record, you're free to look it up. https://www.mass.gov/rmv-records-requests
I really don't know what else you want me to do for you. I fail to see how it's a tragedy. You don't seem to understand my position that this death may have been a somewhat optimal outcome for the public. We'll never know.

And we don't know if he was breaking the speed limit. You've assumed this from the witness statement?

I don't want your records unless they record every time you break the speed limit and I'll have that datalog.
I wanted you to admit that you've been a public safety hazard as well in the past and if you died while excessively speeding (as that surely has happened and you failed to admit to it, instead danced around it while being coy) and it would have been a public benefit outcome for the public as well, especially if you were an organ donor! by your own logic.

Again, I don't believe speeding by itself is a threat to public safety. We have all gone over the posted speed limits. If you want more info, see above link.

Now that we've established that we all no longer have to care about Purple's philosophical, ethical and empathetical opinions, can we move on?

When they're caught, those dirtbikes and ATVs shouldn't be crushed. Send em to Mexico or Canada, but don't crush em.
OK I'm out.

Right.
So again, in your opinion, you breaking laws such as speeding is fine, others who break laws such as illegally riding dirtbikes speeding or not, its not tragic if they crash and die, might even be a net positive.
Yes we've all gone past the posted speed limits and in the eyes of the law and public, excessive speeding is a danger to public safety as a principle. So is riding illegal dirt bikes.
Can both be done relatively safe in certain contexts? Yes.
Did you care for that nuance when you say that it's not tragic his life is lost regardless of circumstances? No.
So again, you're quick to judge others for them breaking traffic laws, but you're fine with the way you do it because *reasons*
I'm moving on too

Re: Dirt Bikes Seized by Boston Police
I say Michelle Wu is slightly responsible for that death.

Hey you pretty much nailed it. Someone losing their life is not automatically a tragedy in all circumstances.

OK that makes sense. They're going to reconstruct the accident. Maybe create a simulation of it. I wonder if they're using PC crash.
