Yeah I did include "ego", but I should have wrote, "picked on as a kid so I became a cop ego"
When I see things like that, my mind wonders, "What about that narrative that the only thing cops want is to come home safely to their family at the end of their shift and in order to do that they must be armed like the Delta Force."
This just popped up on my feed.

Ian Ziering Attacked by Group of Mini Bikers on New Year’s Eve
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...013432375.html
90210 actor Ian Ziering says he was attacked by a “group of individuals on mini bikes” on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve.
After TMZ posted video of the incident, Ziering offered his version of events in a post on Instagram. “Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes. While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation,” Ziering wrote. “In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car [sic]. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”
Ziering was with his daughter at the time of the incident and, fortunately, both were unharmed. “[B]ut the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace,” Ziering said. “This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior. As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient.”
“I have always been an advocate for standing up against intimidation and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety,” he added. “We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behavior and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone. I urge city officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences.”
In the video, Ziering is seen confronting a mini biker who apparently struck his vehicle. Ziering soon found himself brawling with several other bikers, before managing to get back into his car and drive away.
TMZ reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident.

It wasn't odd. Just another washed up celebrity trying to stay relevant in the media.

Yup. Getting out of your car to confront punks seems like a good idea until one of them guts you with a blade. You’re a 59 year old white make celebrity with a kid in the Benz with you. Lock the doors and dial 911. You’re handing the police a reason to ratchet it up with this scum.
My ex wife was stopped at a traffic light. Two guys on bikes pulled around in front of her. When the light changed, they continued chatting so she beeped the horn.
One of them got off his bike, took off his helmet, slammed it into the hood, put it back on and took off.
She went to the MSP barracks a couple hundred yards away. They took her report and stated “We don’t chase bikes.”
1911 trumps 911.
Also the result of people like Wu going after the police for anything and everything. It involved a car, but the 14-15 yr olds who died in a stolen vehicle found with firearms being portrayed as victims is another example. Stop making it easy for these shit bags.

America as a society has a problem of treating assholes with soft padded gloves and little accountability due to *freedoms* resulting in that those that desire to do so, having the ability to be assholes out in public.
This is just one of these examples that seems to resonate in the public eye and strike a cord.

“Massachusetts State Police said a silver Hyundai was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed and rolled over on Morrissey Boulevard. A trooper who was on patrol saw the vehicle crash on the northbound side of the road at 3:17 a.m., police said.
A 14-year-old boy from Dorchester and a 15-year-old boy from Mattapan died in the crash.
State police said a 17-year-old boy from Roslindale is in grave condition at a Boston hospital.
A 15-year-old boy from Dorchester also remains in a Boston hospital, but he is expected to survive.
Police tape and several cruisers surrounded the vehicle, which remained on the roadway for several hours after the crash.
State police said the Hyundai was reported stolen out of Jamaica Plain Thursday morning.”

You left out the part where MA super strong gun laws failed to stop these fine upstanding citizens from obtaining a firearm and the article were Wu says they're investigating the police to make sure they followed protocol, which is apparently just let them do whatever they want without repercussion at this point.

Show me all these laws that has no punishment for breaking it.
The entire point of a laws is to have a punishment for breaking them.
Enforcement is a whole another argument.
Edit: Sounds like his problem is the policing but he's blaming the laws.
Laws dont "let people" do things. They prevent, discourage and dictate punishment.
Police "prevent" breaking of them and enforce them. Justice system takes care of the rest.
His focus on laws being the problem is either misguided or misunderstood

It's such a dishonest rhetoric.
He wants a society where laws themselves (somehow) stop people from doing things he doesn't like BUT he doesn't want to live in a society that is extremely policed where everybody is forced to follow all the laws that are on the books to an extreme. IE Society where laws work (are policed).
