Dirt bikes stolen from two locations

Connecticut and Mass locations hit within a couple days and thieves make off with some dirt bikes, drop others, fall out of uhaul. Craziness. Hope they get caught.

Apparently we won’t have 6 more weeks of winter, Bike Life is stocking up for spring.

The guy dropping the bike that was tangled with the Yamaha was kind of comical in an otherwise lousy situation.

Back in the day horse thieves were hung because taking someones transport or money maker really messed up lives. If we started hanging car thieves i bet the theft rates would drop pretty quickly.

Sounds similar to the windham nh Naults thefts in recent memory. In and out in less than 5 mins, must be the reason for negligence (?) of dropping the bikes.

That video from Nault's was a lot longer than 5 minutes. Maybe once they were in the building but it took them a ton of time to smash the windows/doors open. I was surprised that alarms had not been tripped and police response was not quicker especially where Nault's is located. Maybe the glass isn't alarmed and that gives the period of time needed to gain access. Then as you said in and out before someone arrives.

Either way these guys suck and stealing anything is just a shitty thing to do

Agreed. Right now there is no down side for them. I've struggled with this after my house was broken into last year and 3 bicycles and other valuables were stolen.

The system is very broken. I feel for the cops who have to arrest the same dirt bags over and over because the repercussions are a joke.

I think summer in the streets will be filled with tons of these punks in the streets.

It wasn’t a drive by shooting. Just city kids with no gun ranges.

Was at Freedom Cycle in Concord, NH yesterday. They have a cable through all the bikes now: thry stated they’d been robbed three times.

I wonder if it makes sense to fabricate a few dozen fork mounts and weld the mounts onto a steel plate on the sales floor, and then mount the bike onto it. Now you can't move it without taking the wheel mount off. You could even save floor space by slotting them upright.

This is what I'm talking about:

Both naults and north reading powersports have your typical glass retail doors. Start by beefing shit up. But then again I think naults gated lot was hit too, they now park a truck super close to it.
    Gotta get some rotties.

It would help to have actual punishment for crimes like these to deter future asshats. Need to bring back violent punishment or actual punishment.

Cops using beanbag rounds on MXers on the street would do fine.
