With the adapter bracket, it's basically a bolt in job to mount a Honda 50 style motor, so Lifans will work, Jialings, YX Motorsports, lots of options. I'll dig up links later.
I am also intrested in the links.
lemme guess....CL?
i saw that bike on there....i almost scooped it up
Yep...
how much do those brackets run?
No idea, although it'd be just as easy to make a bracket or mod the frame directly for xr50 or xr100 style motors if you've got access to someone who can weld.
I am gonna look into it too Oxx. Let me know what you find out.
Or I have that spare motor...
Call up the crew at Cycles128, one of their regulars has done an XR100 conversion and can likely point out cost/sources/etc.
I'll just email the guy when I get home and can access myspace.
hows it run>?
is it hard to start?
any pors and cons about owning one matenance wise?
Yep it runs, It is an easy kick start, Maintenance appears easy and CHEAP.
Kurlon,
that bracket is for a horizontal motor. is there one for a vertical motor or is that all custom shit?
id like to get a Lifan 200 in there or something similar. more power, more gears, more speed. i really want to ride it on the street without worrying that ill hold people up.
All I can find at this point are one off custom jobs.
I took that thing for a spin last weekend at the track and had a ball on it. I had so much fun on all of the pit bikes I borrowed and tooled around on. The mini pit bike race was the best.
I am gonna start charging for rides on my YSR.
She was like a lil bitch in heat with all the attention she got.
