ok so i was out riding this mourning going to an appointment when all of a sudden theres oil every where. all over my right pantleg, boot, frame, motor, exhaust everywhere. so i guess ill start the rebuild a little earlier than i was going too.

its an older bike a 95 zx7r not sure what let go too pissed off to look right away. so ill be going over it tomorrow. but as it was only on the one side that the oil was spewing im thinking clutch cover but not sure.

Did you overtighten your oil filter? O-ring seals are compromised when they are crushed too tight...

i did an oil chagne about 1000miles ago. so woldnt it have happened sooner

it was the valve cover gasket. the end thats shaped like a hlf moon some how got pushed out and thats where the oil was comming from. so i took off the valve cover checked everythning and it all looked fine so i replaced it and went out for a ride. and all is good for right now ill watch it to see if any other oile leaks out
