Something like this ALMOST happened to me on my first longish trip to CT. from NH. three days after purchasing my ride (2003 this was). But I was lucky enough to come out of the store in time to watch some old woman backing her car (rearview mirror only style) towards the phone booth on the edge of a gas station parking lot. A place where I parked my bike far away from where I thought ANYONE would ever be that day. I yelled at the top of my lungs for her to "stoooooop!!!!!". Luckily her ears still sort of worked and she did, about 3 feet from the front wheel of my bike. She apologized profusely when she realized her poor trajectory and I accepted it... then I got the hell out of there while the getting was good. :outtie:

I had a 92 ZX7R and loved that bike even fixed it when something similar happend but in retrospect if I had totalled it out (it was my choice) I would have made out alot better. The old Ninja's are nice and it's still one of my favotite bikes but man what a pig they were the newer 600's are twice the bike and will run circles around them. If your insurance compant gives you the option total it out you will make out better in the end.
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
rdDevil how are ya man. havent talked sence the last group ride, dident think u were still lurking around here
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
If no one has seen it yet.
Back over it with a truck and seal the "total"
Who said that that would be wrong:ninja:
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
That completely blows! Sorry to hear about this unfortunate incident. I guess you could look on the bright side...at least you weren't on the bike when it got hit. I guess this is a sign that this guy needs to have his license taken away permanently.
In my opinion, just total the bike and get a new one when you get to GA. :bananna:
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
sucks, sorry to hear it. Not surprising in RI though.
I dont take my bike to crowded places or out to the store for the same reason
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
that sucks. you should try parking on the sidewalk if you can. thats what i see everyone do.
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
Sorry to hear. Good luck with the insurance process.
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
Well, since this is already at the top...
The claims guy came yesterday, then called today and said it looks like it's going to be a total. I'm pretty sure he counted in every piece scraped, all the plastics, levers, etc.
I ordered parts today that will make it 100% good to go: right handlebar, levers, and right peg brake pedal bracket. Just shy of $200. Definitely coming out on top, though there will be remaining cosmetic damages. I'll have to put the leftover into a savings account strictly for a new bike.
Don't step away for five goddamn minutes
Sounds like leftover $ for track days! Git'er fixed and come up 8/16.
