So now I dont mean to be insensitive but some questions:

    1. does the bike have Estart? is that what I saw?
    2. What happens if he needs to stop?
    3. When I tried motocross I was told I should never be sitting down ... yet he can still ride the dickens, different form must be used, or does he just suck it up?

    1. prob e-start.
    2. looks like he uses a little picker or something to keep the bike upright to get on so i assume if he stops, he falls over.
    3. Doug is just THAT good. tons of experience + tons of determination after this last accident.

    1. yes
    2. friends pick him up
    3. true, I sit down too much as well but I still go faster sitting down too much rather than vs me standing up more.

    4. Doug Henry is just that good, nothing can stop him He has ruled at mx/sx/offroad/supermoto/etc

    Way to go Doug

Here's the big difference between Doug and the rest of us who ride because we want to..

Doug still rides, because... he CAN!

Not to take a damn thing away from what he's doing - He's showing a boat load of grit and determination, and is a great example to other people who are facing challenges. Balls of solid steel comes to mind.

The track he's riding is probably set up so the necessity to stand up isn't huge. Rolling jumps, smaller bumps, etc - BUT, this is Doug Henry - give it time, he'll work with the suspension guys and fabricators as well as work within himself.

I've seen a few of the seated adaptive skiers hammering through the moguls...

from what I have heard he is riding jumps (normal jumps) very well and riding a very fast pace.

Umm, yeah. The little bit you can see of him riding in the video, the only thing special about that track is that Doug Henry is on it. Those jumps look normal (obviously not SX steep, but nothing out of the ordinary) and he looks like he's fucking FLYING.

Word is he's riding at like a Expert MX pace, which is fucking crazy. I might be heading down to ride his track soon so we'll see!

Alex, you're a lucky sonofabitch. Not that this is a new revelation or anything.

Re: Doug Henry F'n rules all.

i love Doug Henry...would it be wrong to get a DH tatt??

i met him once and i didn't even know who i was talking to...we were just 2 guys in helmets waiting to go out for the same rain soaked penguin practice (he was guest riding my rookie weekend apparently).

i was relating the story and some of the advice that was given to me by... some guy on a trick motard, to one of my DNF team mates the next morning at registration when he pointed out "dude that was doug f'n henry"
