Most days it was an hour & change, but there were some bad days when I was working in Boston that my 23.5 mile commute (or 29 depending on which route I took) would take almost 2 hours.
Now it's < 8 minutes on the ONE day a month that I actually have to go into the office.![]()

Commuted Boston to Manchvegas daily for a year, and once or twice a week for many years to Auburn. 55 miles, 48 minutes.
If there was so much as a rain drop or snow flake, at 7:30 or 8:00 southbound 93 would be bumper-to-bumper from NH exit 2 all the way to Boston.
The I90 route seemed fastest of the three directions into Boston.
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. Eisenhower 1961
