Nice!
170k more miles and you can be a senator!
Cool. Miles are good; that's what bikes are for.

We should log some miles in the Blue Hills.
You Sir know nothing of true greatness. I of course refer to ones ability to steal, drink and generally do nothing, and carry it off with style

What maintenance have you done to it? valves? Stator?
My 01 GSXR750 has almost 19k on it with 18 track days. Never had the valves checked yet.......... gonna do that after NJMP in 2 weeks.
my street bike has never been on the track.
i have a thread on here where i did some work on it with degsy.
the steering head bearings were replaced around 20k
forks and shock got refreshed around 20k
brake and coolant flush done like every other year.
my chain is cleaned and adjusted every 300 miles. i've done a 1/4 turn adjustment after 10k.
i need to check the vlaves this year. i think they need adjustment.
stator, clutch, and rectifier never have been touched. never needed to.
this bike has been rock solid as far as reliability.
There's no reason any modern bike shouldn't easily reach 100K. Do the recommended maintenance (or close to it), use good quality oil, don't crash, and that should be good. A thorough inspection and preventive maintenance around every 60K is a good idea (I've found that true for cars as well).

Right on.
I've had a mild, passing fancy for VFR's suddenly. My leisure googling while the missus has some reality crap on the TV brought me to this story of a guy who put 100,000 miles on a VFR800. Pretty nifty. This bit about his valve adjustments caught my eye in particular.
had the dealer do it at 16,000 miles; couldn't tell the difference and haven't had them adjusted since
