I have a technical question.
I looked at a 1999 900SS today, I think its cheap. ($2750). It has some minor rash on the left side, is due for its 12k valve adjust, and really ought to have a set of tires before seeing VIR in the spring. Has a nice Corbin seat and a pair of D&D pipes that are obnoxious loud.
It had a lot of oil leaking from the front sprocket cover. The guy who had it for sale says that this is a common problem when one of the O rings in the slave cylinder lets go; he also pointed out that the fluid in the clutch master was black like motor oil, which he says is also indicative of this problem.
Anybody heard of that issue before? Is it hard/expensive to repair?
