    Which Dzus Fasteners?

Quick questions for you guys (and gals)....

I need to get a set of Dzus fasteners for my new bodywork. I'm looking at the panhead style and I would like to rivet them on rather than use the clip-on method. It looks like there are two types of rivet style.

    Style #1

    Style #2

Are there any benefits or drawbacks to using either version? Does Duncan Moto have these items? Does anyone know their hours?

    Thanks...

    ~Jay

I recommend style #1. It offers some adjustability, as the receptacle side can be bent closer or further.

what he said (about the back plates).

but I recommend the D-ring type fastener (has metal loop for tool-less removal).

Jim picked #2, so I would stay away from them personally.

I use #1 w/ the loops and like them alot.

I know a lot of people hate on the #2 style, but I like them better just because it feels like a tighter fit when it's a ll buttoned up.

    Re: Which Dzus Fasteners?

I've used both, and I prefer normal Dzus fasteners (style 1). Dzus Pro fasteners (style 2), are stronger if you are only looking at tensile strength, but if that much force is put on my plastics, I would much rather the fasteners let go than my beautiful fairing getting broken.
I think the normal Dzus fasteners (style 1), have a more positive "click" when fastening, but some might disagree.

    Re: Which Dzus Fasteners?

Ordered #1 from Kurvey Girl yesterday.

A few weeks ago she also had style #2 listed on the site, but it is no longer available. Style #2 was my original choice, I went with #1 since it looked like it was easier and more secure to mount. I went for the pan head style since I wanted a cleaner, more factory look.

Now to get these mounted this weekend and ready for paint...

    Thanks for the help guys

Hi, this is KurveyGirl and I was told by another customer that the Dzus Pro were not on the website. I found out the reason why the Dzus pro was not showing up and have fixed that.

Overall, I would like to recommend style #1 over style #2
    1. Less expensive
    2. Easier to install
    3. More popular, so if you are at the track and need a bolt most likely someone might have a spare.

Let me know any questions you might have on Dzus bolts
