Just bend the back of the seat forward. It will spring back no problem.

I've got a question too. It takes me like, 3.2 seconds to open the gas cap on my Tiller. There's GOT to me an easier way...

Heh, takes almost exactly5.735 seconds on my Trumpet .
One keyed cowl cover, pull two teathered hitch pins and lift the seat off .
Really, why is it that every Honda has about 3 thousand fasteners to get off to do simple mundane tasks .
    Cheers, lee S.

I gotcha beat. It takes a 1/4 turn of a key, lift the seat off. Total time, 1 second.

Oh yeah, that's my Triumph Sprint RS, and the seat cowl comes right off with the seat. Very cool.

Sorry, that 20 seconds is for the front seat battery access. To lift the rear seat (trunk access) takes a 1/4 turn of the key and it AUTOMATICALLY flips up. Time taken 1/4 of a second.
