    Entry level bikes (Kawi300, Honda250, Suzuki250)

I recently got to ride all the new 2014 Entry level bikes from Kawi, Honda, and Suzuki (note repping the Boston scally cap ). Let me know if you have any questions on them, though Ari covered the points pretty well. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/co...ot_mc_comparo/

Really? Well you'll be pleased to know he no longer sports dreadlocks!

In all honesty Ari is a really great guy and a New England native. He grew up in Wellfleet and his family is very active in the USCRA vintage racing community (Ari included). He's now racing, and fucking flying, on a CBR250 with the CVMA club out here. Perhaps you already knew that and were just fucking with me? Also Zack Courts, another one of the Motorcyclist staff, is a New Englander and raced with many of us up at LRRS and USCRA.

From what I've read on other boards, R1's, R6's and the ZX10R are great starter bikes. Is this information incorrect?

In all seriousness, I rode the Ninja 300 at NJMP, and thought it was a fantastic bike. Great learning tool with totally approachable power, very accurate, precise shifting, and great handling for a bike on the low end of the range.

    Jes is def. super rad!

and I wish I could ride those bikes...I like taking small bikes and riding it to the limits

plus they sure do look a lot cooler than the 1st gen ninja 250

Clearly you've never been to Asia. No real commuter vehicle would have an engine as large as 250cc.

    Re: Entry level bikes (Kawi300, Honda250, Suzuki250)

With what's on the market for bits, I'd pick the CBR250R if I also had a wheelbarrow full of cash to use to build it up as a full superbike based on the proposed Formula 300 rules. Otherwise, based on the rules I'm betting the 300 Kawi is going to be the bike to beat.

I haven't got motorcyclist in awhile but I've still caught a couple of Ari's articles about racing the 250 against the Kawi300. great read.

    Kawi 300 for sure.
CBR250 can work but depends on the rules package. Either way it'll take more $ and more balls.
    GW250 no waaaaaaay.

PS: You should make your sig list a big longer. LOL.
