Exo-1000/Scorpion Helmets in general fit question

So as some of you know I posted a link to get an exo-1000 for cheap money. The helmet arrived and it looks awesome.

I have a large head (XXL!) and the helmet fits good, but is a little tight on the forehead. Now I understand they are supposed to be tight but I feel like it is on the verge of being "TOO" tight.

I am wondering if anyone has this helmet, or other Scorpion helmet, and if the pads will thin out a little or "break in" a little at some point?


Also, does anyone know if there are thinner pads that you can use inside this helmet?

i have the same sized melon as you. i just replaced my exo700 with a shark rs2. i liked the scorpion but after long rides would experience a painful rub on my forehead. don't know of a way to correct it.

My exo1000 has broken in a lil but not quite as much as my shoei and not nearly as much as my suomy......
