Just sayin'
If someone posted every local motorcycle crash/death story, that's all you'd see on this forum.
Not saying you CAN'T post em.... just ask yourself "why?" before posting it.
If it's someone we know, something we can all learn from, or a particularly "controversial" crash or circumstances, sure... but I just don't see why every typical run-of-the-mill crash story needs to get posted.... crashes happen, riders unfortunately get killed, it's part of the sport, we all know it, but it's still the elephant in the room no one really needs to talk/hear about.
But that's just my opinion.

Agreed.
Agreed, but to back my post up, doing a wheelie in the wrong direction and hitting the popo isn't exactly run of the mill.

I'm not a fan of your face Pete.
But I agree, especially when they're under circumstances where I find it impossible to feel bad for the rider.
I agree as well. In fact, I really only like the race crash videos.

Yeah Oreo - I am with ya on this one buddy.
im with pete. all it does is bum everyone out. If someone really wants to learn about all the deaths, i think there are websites and sections of the newspaper devoted to that kind of stuff.
but race crash/no-crash vids, bring those on. i learn from those.

Someone had to say it ... agreed
I concur. I'm really not too into riding on the street anymore, but thinking about doing it again next season. Race crash vids I learn from, but still don't watch them right before going racing. I think I go faster if I think about crashing less.
Could not agree more.....Enough is enough.
I hear ya. I try not to read them..... It's depressing
Me no likey crash
Agree 100%

How come if Pete says it everyone agrees? But if I had said it I would have brought a huge freekkn shit storm on myself?
...now...the bad news for you Pete....
I agree too!!!

Agree, agree, agree. I wasn't even reading them anymore.
I disagree.... let people post them if they want... don't read them if you don't want to...
there's always the chance someone might think twice about doing something stupid that could get themselves hurt / killed from reading these threads etc... depressing, yes, but reality and that isn't always a bad thing...
but again that is just my opinion...
I'm not a fan of crash threads, RIP threads, birthday threads, private life threads and some dude stole my sandwiche threads.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
C'mon Jay... Stealing sandwich threads are serious business.
Pete, you took the words right out of my mouth.

It wasn't just a sandwich, Jay... It was sex on a sub roll. Don't tell me you weren't touched in some way by that thread.

Disagree. It's a public forum and everyone has the choice whether to "click" or "mark as read" without opening. Members have their own personal list of threads and even users that they'd rather not follow. Leave it up to the users to decide what we'd like to read based on their own criteria. Less laws, less government ...

Cheese, I agree it's a public forum & you can post, read or ignore whatever you want. I'm not saying I think you shouldn't be allowed to post them, what I'm saying is that I'm not a fan of most crash threads that get posted on here & I think you should ask yourself why you're postng it before you do... So what do you disagree with? Are you disagreeing with that & saying you think I real AM a fan of them?![]()
