Not a fan of random crash threads

The Haverhill crash thread just changed my perspective on this shit. I knew that girl. I'd rather have heard it from her family than read it here. I for one am not reading them anymore. Post what you want, but those threads just made my "don’t open" list.

I posted this thread in the Vermont forum. The girlfriend of the deceased found the thread and I think it has been an outlet for at least a small bit of her pain.

I came upon this site quite by accident & I'm glad I found it. I will keep you all posted as to the bastard that did this.I plan to have a front row seat. Mark always told me that when I got fired up I could be worse than anything he came across in Iraq. Obviously a joke but I have never felt rage like I do now. No it won't bring him back but this man needs to know what he did. He has to live with this for the rest of his life but it is nothing compared to our loss. Anyway thank you for including me here. Thanks for the support. June 3rd was Marks birthday & he bought himself the bike. He came home & i hopped on. I never had a more content moment,riding along,my arms tightly around my Baby. He was a very happy man in that moment & all was right in our world. Days later we kissed goodbye told each other I love you Baby and my life was shattered. My new mantra is "what the fuck?" I just don't get this.

Anyway I'm glad you brought that one up, NOT so that I could disprove your point, but cuz I wanna point out that thread began with a lot more details about the location of the crash, HOW it happened & the fact that the rider died as a result of someone's inability to keep their car under control.

Still random (until the deceased rider's girlfriend chimed in My condolences), but definitely a little harder hitting even before she commented on the thread.



Anyway, whatever... the point I'd like to make right now is that people are getting way too fucking up in arms about one person's opinion....

So I don't like completely random crash threads... so what? No one's censoring them, no one's deleting them, no one's making any rules about not being allowed to post them... I'm just sick & tired of seeing all these crash threads that don't have anything to do with anyone on here and have little to no detail about the how or why it happened.... and I'm not the only one apparently.

there's always the chance someone might think twice about doing something stupid that could get themselves hurt / killed from reading these threads etc... depressing, yes, but reality and that isn't always a bad thing...

I never got road rash from a shower, nor have I ever been hit by a car in the shower!
