When on the pegs.... usually balls of the feet or toes... often use the rear pegs on long rips to lay down, or if need to stretch may drag the ground (squiddy) for a few miles to get the blood flowing

Used to be the balls, now it's the arch. Sport bike-balls, standard bike-arch.

Should be multiple choice, and you missed an option...paddling

    Street/track, it's usually the balls.
Dirty offroad/motarded, when my feet are on the pegs, it's usually the arch. Though there are times offroad, my feet sometimes come off the pegs..which is where the paddling comes in

This one is tough because it will depend on what the situation is. When i'm cruising at higher speeds i'll generally be closer to my toes but when at lower speeds doing a lot of shifting i'll be more on my heels.

So the pegs on your standard are lower & further forward.... which puts your toes closer to the ground. Putting the arches of your feet on the pegs puts your toes even closer. Doesn't make sense.

If I'm just putting around, it doesn't really matter.... but I still like to be on the balls of my feet to maintain balance & control. If you're on the arches of you feet you're "flatfooted" and just like in sports, you're not as well balanced/quick to react.

Keeping on the balls of my feet, no matter what kind of bike i'm on, keeps my toes away from the ground should I decide to get the bike leaned over and it also keeps my mind more focused and ready.

Closer to what? At speed or cruising at 30 to 40 mph? All I know is when I had a more forward seating position, bar much lower it was easy to sit your foot balls on the peg. With my new bike it's a more natural position to have the peg around center foot. Perhaps age has something to do with it was well. It feels stupid to have my foot that far back when shifting gears as much as I do around the wild streets of Salisbury!

Balls, though if I am on a long stretch of not-fun (highway), I will readjust to the arches occasionally.
