    Fiberglass Belly Pan ?

    I need some help..

I mounted a fiberglass belly pan that ended up pressing against the exhaust and burning the pan. The burn mark shows on the outside of the pan.

    My question is:

Can I sand that spot and repaint (rattle can)or should I just cut it out? The spot is pretty low on the belly pan so it is hard to see.

I have since redone/rebent the brackets so that there is no contact and have wrapped that area of pipe in Tinfoil to try and create a little buffer.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

    Fiberglass Belly Pan ?

dunno if this is the *right* way or not but the track bike I just bought had the same problem that you are having. All did was lay a piece of fiberglass over it and mudded it up and sanded it down. Now this is for the track bike so how it came out wasn't a big deal for me...but it seems to work. The part is much stronger now
